NAUGATUCK — Mr. Thomas J. Lawlor, 90, of Naugatuck, passed away Tuesday morning July 21, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Lawlor was born in Naugatuck, April 2, 1925, a son of the late John and Mary (Whitelaw) Lawlor and was the last of 13 brothers and sisters. He was a graduate of St. Francis grammar school and Naugatuck High School, and was a retired employee of the Borough of Naugatuck, having been employed at the Naugatuck treatment plant for over 14 years, retiring in 1974. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a member of the former Naugatuck Volunteer Fire Dept. for over 42 years, retiring as deputy chief in 1990.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and several great-great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his 12 siblings, seven brothers and five sisters.
His funeral will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., and proceed to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the procession leaves for church.
