CHESHIRE — Steven B. Weloy, 57, of Cheshire, passed away at home on May 25, 2018, after a long illness. Born in Waterbury on May 21, 1961, Steven was raised in Cheshire and graduated from Cheshire High School. He was a son of the late Ralph Weloy and, like his father, Steven had a keen sense of humor, always ready with a joke. For the past several years he was a devoted caretaker of his mother.
An accomplished home cook and an avid NASCAR fan, he was the self-employed owner of an auto body repair shop in Naugatuck.
Steven is survived by his mother, Nancy of Cheshire and six siblings, Ivy Jones and her husband, Paul, of Rhode Island, Martha Ross of Florida, Ralph Weloy and his wife, Kelly, of Minnesota, David Weloy of Florida, Terri Puzycki of Connecticut, and Christopher Weloy of Connecticut; nine nephews and one niece.
Services will be private.
