NAUGATUCK — Sally A. Ranno, 67, the widow of Robert D. Ranno, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
Sally was born on Dec. 13, 1947 in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Kulp) McLain and had lived in Naugatuck for the past 40 years. Sally graduated from Amity High School in Woodbridge. Sally worked as an assistant manager at Sovereign Bank, before retiring.
Sally is survived by her son, David G. Ranno and his wife, Erica L. Ranno, of Naugatuck; her son, Bryan Ranno of Naugatuck; her grandson, Tyler Ranno of Naugatuck; her sister, Suzanne Gemmell and her husband, Donald S. Gemmell, of Mooresville, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.
Sally shared a love for Barbershop music with her husband, Bob and her son, Bryan. She also enjoyed watching her sons and grandson, Tyler play sports. Sally and her grandson, Tyler loved gardening together.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 47 Franklin St., Ansonia, CT 06401 at 11 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
