SEYMOUR — Pauline Chesnutis, 95, of Seymour, the beloved wife of 38 years to the late Albert Chesnutis, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at St. John Paul II Center, Danbury. She was born in Seymour on Feb. 23, 1922, daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Beechum) Koretz.
Pauline graduated from Seymour High School. She worked in the offices at Uniroyal Corp. of Naugatuck and had also worked at The U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command in Orlando, Fla. She was a member of Three Saints Church of Ansonia. Pauline enjoyed playing bingo. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends but will remain forever in our hearts. Pauline’s family wishes to thank the staff of John Paul II Center (2North) for their compassionate care of her while she was under their care.
Her loving family includes her stepson, David Chesnutis of Beacon Falls; two stepdaughters, Alice Slade and Christine Chesnutis of Vermont; a sister-in-law, Betty DeGeorge of Beacon Falls; three nephews, Ronald Stebar (Marilyn) Oxford, Thomas Stebar of Seymour, Kelly Dullard (Darlene) of Waterbury, and several other nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by three sisters, Helen Konavage, Elizabeth Dullard and Mary Stebar.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 directly at Three Saints Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia at 9 a.m., with The Reverend Patrick Burns, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pauline’s memory to Three Saints Church Maintenance Trust Fund, through the funeral home. The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St., Seymour, is caring for the family.
