NAUGATUCK — Patricia A. (McGinn) Dunn, 85, widow of John Dunn, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS Unit.
Mrs. Dunn was born in Williamsport, Pa. on Nov. 11, 1929, daughter of the late Mildred Edler. She was a longtime resident of Naugatuck and also resided in Florida. Pat had retired from the Waterbury Republican-American where she worked for several years. She enjoyed golf, debating politics and spending time with and taking care of her beloved cats Patches, Flower and Annie. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by her five sons, Rick, Doug, Mike, Tony and Chris Ruccio; two daughters, Sherrie Piccolo and Felicia Ruccio; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son John, daughter, Debbie Wilcox, and granddaughter, Carrie Wilcox.
The family would like to thank Dr. Edmund Caporaso and his staff and the entire team at Vitas Hospice for their compassion and care.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Pat’s life. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
