Norman Marquis

PROSPECT — Norman Marquis, 82, husband of the late Hilda M. (Thibeault) Marquis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Glendale Health Center.

Mr. Marquis was born in Sinclair, Maine on Dec. 24, 1935, son of the late Fred and Melina (Collins) Marquis. He was a longtime resident of Prospect and retired from Fafnir Bearing in New Britain after many years of service. Norman was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.

Norman is survived by his children, Lisa Bolton Roselle and her husband, Brian, of Prospect and Leroy Marquis and his wife, Lynn, of Naugatuck; his two grandchildren, Emily and Kyle Bolton; his great-grandson, Kaiden Santiago. He is also survived by Hector and Theresa Gagnon, Lou and Marie Mae Pelletier, Mary Ann Cyr, Ronald Cyr, Jeannine Paradis and Harold and Solange Thibeault, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He has several late siblings who each hold a special place in his heart.

He was loving, charming and would always greet you with a big smile and a hug/kiss. He loved to fish, play pool, dance to country music, and loved his western TV shows. He lived a simple, good life, similar to how he grew up on the farm.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
