NAUGATUCK — “Norm” Anderson, 74, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband 54 years of Judith (Owens) Anderson.

Norm was born Oct. 22, 1941 in Naugatuck, a son of the late Frank and Betty (Pope) Anderson.

He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School class of 1959. Norm retired from Companion Industries after many years as a tool setter. He was an active member of the Naugatuck Lodge of Elks and a member of the Lake Quassapaug Sportsman Club. Norm had a zest for life and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife Judith, Norm is survived by three daughters, Mary Beth (Anderson) Garbauskas, Margie (Anderson) Brochu and Nancy Darr and her husband Victor; two sisters, Babette Strumpf and her husband Fred and Muriel Smith and her husband Al; two brothers, Frank Anderson and his wife Ida and Donald Anderson and his wife Judy; six grandchildren, Tara, Keith, Breezy, Megan, Anderson and Hayden. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Anna Fenn and her husband William; and his brother, Leonard Anderson and his wife Claire.

Norm’s family would like to thank Dr. Sabbath and his staff at the Harold Leever Center, the Waterbury Hospital Pomeroy 5 Nurses and the Team Hope Hospice Staff for all their wonderful care.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Calling hours will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
