PROSPECT — Michael Ceresa, 67, a longtime resident of Prospect, beloved husband of Ann (Spadolino) Ceresa, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Feb. 11. Mr. Ceresa was born Nov. 19, 1949 in Bridgeport to the late Emile and Edna (Hulse) Ceresa and was a graduate of Warren Harding High School, class of 1967.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Ann, of 38 years, in addition to his devoted children: son, Brian Ceresa and his wife, Jennifer, of Middlebury; daughter, Tara Ceresa, of Prospect, and his beautiful grandchildren, Veronica, Jordan, and Vivian. He also leaves his sister, Karen Stelmaszek and husband, Ted, of Shelton, and was predeceased by his brother, Richard. He also leaves many sisters- and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael was currently employed as director of facilities for Region 16 Board of Education, and was a master carpenter by trade.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Those attending are asked to please meet at church. Calling hours are Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Rye Brook, N.Y.
