NAUGATUCK — Mary Kimmer, 80, of Naugatuck, the widow of Walter Kimmer, Sr., died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 at Vitas Healthcare at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Mary was born March 1, 1935 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Nicola and Angeline (Pagluica) Manna and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Mary retired from Peter Paul, where she had worked for over 30 years, and was a member of the Naugatuck Emblem Club.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Deb LeVasseur and her husband John of Naugatuck, Angela Sarbieski of Naugatuck and Lori Schnerr and her husband Doug of Prospect; two sons, Jim Kimmer and Scott Kimmer both of Naugatuck, 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sons, Wally Kimmer and Kelly Kimmer.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
