NAUGATUCK — Marjorie S. Shock, 83, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Denzil Shock.

Mrs. Shock was born in Derby on July 20, 1935, daughter of the late James and Melisent Dove Sanford. She was employed at the former Ascom Hasler Mailing Systems in Shelton for many years until her retirement. Marjorie loved to fish in her earlier years and enjoyed vegetable gardening and crossword and search-a-word puzzles.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving daughter, Jacqueline Holloway and her fiancée, Charles Athanasiou, of Naugatuck; grandchildren, Melanie Shock and Denzil Shock III; great-grandson, Eli Shock; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Denzil Shock Jr.; and grandsons, Patrick Holloway and Victor Holloway.

Visiting will take place on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, from 9 until 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver St., Ansonia. At 10:30 a.m., a funeral service in celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held with Rev. James Wegner officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck.
