WATERBURY — Leo T. Butler, Sr., 85, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 3015 at Waterbury Hospital.

Mr. Butler was born in Lakewood, R.I., on Oct. 26, 1930, son of the late Nathaniel and Blanche (Belanger) Butler. A longtime resident of the Waterbury area, Leo retired from D & L Tool Company after many years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Butler is survived by his sons, Leo T. Butler, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Lancaster, S.C., Kenneth P. Butler and his wife Cynde of Waterbury, and Christopher Butler and his wife Donna of Waterbury; his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Lockhart of Cookville, Tenn., and Dawn Levesque and her husband Michael of Wolcott; his brother Robert Butler of Guilford; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Cranston, R.I.
