Julia Catherine Froliger Passerine

SEYMOUR — Julia Catherine Froliger Passerine, 94, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late Armand Passerine, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Shady Knoll Health Center of Seymour. She was born in Ansonia on Aug. 6, 1922 the daughter of the late Anton and Clementine Hergesheimer Froliger.

She was a former communicant of St. Augustine Church. Julia was secretary of Armand and Greg’s Auto Service of Seymour. She was an avid homemaker, enjoyed cooking for her family, and loved to crochet. Julia was an enthusiastic New York Yankees fan. She’ll be missed by family and friends and will forever remain in our hearts.

Her loving family includes her devoted son, Greg Passerine and his wife, Dawn, of Oxford and her four cherished grandchildren, Keith Dandorph and his wife, Lauren, Kelly Dandorph, Dallas Passerine, and Tyler Passerine, and three cherished great-grandchildren, Zachary, Lucas, and Lily Dandorph. Julia was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Sharon (Passerine) Veillette, and her three beloved brothers, Joseph, Emil, and Herman Froliger.

A Funeral Service in Celebration of Julia’s life will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home 260 Bank St. (Route 67), Seymour with the Rev. Russell Lesiw officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery will be held in the spring.

Memorial gifts in Julia’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
