Julia A. (Juzwishen) Kirdzik

NAUGATUCK — Julia A. (Juzwishen) Kirdzik, widow of Stephen T. Kirdzik, passed away peacefully on Monday March 12, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

Mrs. Kirdzik was born in Beacon Falls on Sept. 21, 1927, a daughter of the late Peter and Sadie Juzwishen. She was longtime resident of Naugatuck and moved to Branford several years ago. Julia was a communicant of St. Hedwig’s Church, and she enjoyed reading, puzzles, and watching gameshows. She was an avid UConn women’s basketball and New York Mets fan. She also loved spending time with her sister-in-law, Mary Zdrodowski, as well as her many friends at Cedar Woods while living in Branford.

Julia is survived by her daughters, Janet Laudati and her husband, Bob, of Branford, Lori Ann Wissbrun and her husband, Fred, of Wallingford, and Connie Vece of Wallingford; her grandchildren, David, Sean and his wife, Elisa, and Dan Laudati, Zachary Wissbrun, and Josh Vece and his fiancé, Karol Gejda; her great-grandchildren, Lorenzo and Matteo Laudati; and
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, followed by a service to begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
