PROSPECT — Mrs. Josephine Marie Bianchini, 85, of Prospect passed away suddenly, Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the widow of Alfred Bianchini.
Mrs. Bianchini was born in Waterbury on Aug. 10, 1929 a daughter to the late Carlo and Mary (Fichera) Natelle. Mrs. Bianchini prided herself on being a stay-at-home mom and also working on her family farm while her children were growing up. She then was employed at Risdon Co. until her retirement.
Josephine was a member of The Prospect Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary, the Senior Citizen’s, and the Grange for many years. She especially enjoyed the family gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved having her children nearby, and had fond memories of the get togethers at the Family Farm in Prospect.
Josephine is survived by her children; two sons, David R. Bianchini of Prospect and Al Bianchini of Prospect; two daughters, Kathryn Guarini and her husband, Stephen, of Prospect and Terri Philibert and her husband, Kevin, of Prospect; a sister, Marie Greenwood of North Franklin; a brother, Anthony Natelle of Florida; grandchildren, John Bianchini and his wife, Kim, Joseph Bianchini, Krista Ormai and her husband, Chris, Daniel Bianchini and his wife, Kristi, Gregory Bianchini, Justin Philibert, Samuel Purcell, Courtney Purcell, and Jacob Philibert; great-grandchildren, Bella Bianchini, Ava Bianchini, Vincent Bianchini and Miles Bianchini and several nieces and nephews
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at 9 a.m. from the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, to St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect for a mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be Mt Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m.
