NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Jean (Woodside) Diver passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at Beacon Brook Health Center. She was the widow of Edwin Diver.

Mrs. Diver was born Aug. 19, 1928 in Naugatuck, daughter of the late Beecher Woodside and the late Edith (Grant) Woodside. She was educated in the local school system, graduating from Naugatuck High School in 1946. She worked at the Uniroyal Chemical, Risdon Manufacturing and the Lewis Engineering Company in Naugatuck.

She was a member of the Naugatuck United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Women’s Society, a former Sunday School superintendent and Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by her children, Mark Diver and his wife, Teresa, of Naugatuck, Dwight Diver and his wife, Donna, of Southington, Leslie Diver of Naugatuck, and Shelley Fallon and her husband, Michael, of Naugatuck, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Diver of Naugatuck. She also leaves five grandchildren, Dianna Thompson and her husband, Kevin, of Coventry, Danielle Diver of Naugatuck, Chelsea Pishnery and her husband, Brendan, of Solon, Ohio, Molly and Mitchell Fallon of Naugatuck, and four great-grandchildren, Ellis and Kristopher Thompson of Coventry, and Ariel Pierre and Douglas Blanchard of Naugatuck. She also leaves ten nieces, three nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Douglas Diver; grandson, Dustin Diver, and sisters, Muriel Booth, Ruth Danielczuk, Lorraine Felchner, and brother, Beecher Woodside.

Services are private and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Alderson- Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., is assisting with the arrangements.
