James Edward Eburg Jr.

WATERBURY — James Edward Eburg, Jr., 57, beloved husband of Traci Keller Eburg of Waterbury, died Sept. 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury. Born in New Haven on Dec. 26, 1960, he was the son of the late James E. and Mary Lupone Eburg.

Jimmy was raised in Shelton and was a graduate of Shelton High School. He has been a longtime resident of Waterbury. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and took great pride in his chrome and red cruiser. An avid pool and poker player, he would compete and organize local billiards and Texas Hold’em tournaments. Jimmy will be long remembered for his special love for his family, always placing their needs first and foremost. Together with his wife, he enjoyed the quiet beauty and peace of Southford Falls State Park.

In addition to his beloved wife of 20 years, he is survived by his sons, Clayton Hicks of Groton and James E. Eburg III, currently serving active duty in the U.S. Army; daughters, Lynda Austin-Keller of Bristol and Jocelyn (Andrew) Cenotti of West Haven; devoted siblings, Jody (Craig) Audia of Winsted, John (Michelle) Lupone of Beacon Falls and Jennifer Lupone of Oxford; cherished grandchildren, “the love of his life” Ariana, Isaiah, Arorah, Andrew, Cedi and Jaxson; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Alexander Eburg.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 6:30 p.m., prior to the service.
