NAUGATUCK — Howard Hassenfeldt, Sr., 72, passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Beatrice A. (Altieri) Hassenfeldt.
Mr. Hassenfeldt was born April 3, 1942 in Waterbury, the son of the late John L. and Lillian (Kraft) Hassenfeldt. He was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck where he was employed at Peter Paul for approximately 40 years.
Besides his loving wife of 49 years, he is survived by his sons, Howard Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Seymour, and Lewis Allen and his wife, Anita, of Naugatuck; his brothers John L. Hassenfeldt Jr. and his wife, Grace, of Naugatuck and Richard A. Hassenfeldt of Naugatuck; his five grandchildren, Lewis Jr., Lyndsey, Raymond, Zacharius, and Courtney; his two great-grandchildren, Miles and Chance; his two nieces, Denise and Diane, and a nephew, Joseph.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
