NAUGATUCK — Helen Matuszewski, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Beacon Brook Health Center.
Helen was born in Waterbury, on July 6, 1932, daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Czarzasta) Matuszewski. A lifelong Beacon Falls resident, she retired from Ideal Manufacturing after many years of service. She was a graduate of St. Hedwig and Sacred Heart High School. Helen was an avid New York Mets fan, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church.
Helen is survived by her sister, Mildred Kevit of Beacon Falls; her brother, Charles Matuszewski of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Brook for the kind and compassionate care given to Helen during her illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
