WALLINGFORD — Mrs. Helen (Hacku) Chatfield, 100, of Wallingford, formerly of Prospect, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Masonicare of Wallingford. She was the widow of William Chatfield.
Helen was born March 5, 1915 in Wallingford, a daughter to the John and Anna Hacku. Prior to her retirement Helen was the owner and operator of Helen’s Beauty Nook in Wallingford.
She was a member of Prospect Congregational Church and a former member of the Prospect Card Club.
Helen is survived by her niece and caretaker, Susan Ostuno of Prospect; her brother, Daniel Hacku of Northford. Beside her husband and parents, Helen was predeceased by her sister, Mary Duncan, and brothers, John and Frank Hacku.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect to Prospect Congregational Church, 25 Center St., Prospect for a service at 11 a.m. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Her burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in the spring.
