OXFORD — Francis “Frank” Kerski, 91, husband of Eleanor (Schiller) Kerski, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 peacefully in his sleep.
Mr. Kerski was born in Naugatuck on March 14, 1927, son of the late Walter and Anastasia (Schultz) Kerski. He began his career working at age 13 and eventually owned Merit Foods in Wallingford and Cheshire. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II. Frank enjoyed reading, watching FOX news, and working.
Besides his loving wife, Eleanor, of 73 years, he leaves his son, Richard Kerski, and his wife, Linda, of Boca Raton, Fla.; his daughters, Cheryl Nadeau and her husband. Thomas. of Spring, Texas, and Karen Kerski and her husband, Donald Keller, of Glen Arm, Md.; his brother, Benjamin Kerski of Cheshire; his sister, Theresa Healy of Elbridge, N.Y.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering will be held. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
