NAUGATUCK — Florence W. Clark, 91, of Naugatuck, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at Cook Willow Health Center in Plymouth. She was the wife of the late Irving Jerry Clark.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1927 in New Milford, daughter of the late Wadyslaw and Walerya (Pilatowski) Went. Prior to her retirement, Florence worked as a telephone operator for SNET. In her spare time, she was an avid reader and bird watcher, and was a longtime member of the Grange and held several positions.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Carol Martin of Prospect and Beth Trapasso and husband, Rich, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; a grandson, Michael DeCosa of Prospect; a brother, Joseph Went General, USMC retired, and wife, Barbara, of Fairfax, Va.; a sister-in-law, Mary Went of Brookfield, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Henry and Edward Went.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018 at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial is private. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cook Willow Health Center for all of their loving care and compassion during the last year and a half. Also a special thanks to Vitas for their care.
