PROSPECT — Eleanor E. (Jablonski) Lubowiecki, 93, widow of Matthew Lubowiecki, passed away at New York Presbyterian Hospital on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 after a brief illness.
She was born in Union City on Aug. 20, 1924, daughter of the late Michael and Bernice (Ploski) Jablonski. She had lived most of her life in Naugatuck and eventually settled in Prospect with her family for more than 40 years. Eleanor retired from Lewis Engineering and Naugatuck Glass Company.
She is survived by her daughters, Christine Blanchard of Stafford Springs, Marcia McDonough of Bristol, and Diane Rizzo of Oxford; her six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Eleanor is now at peace with her beloved husband, Matthew, in eternal rest.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Burial will be private. The Naugatuck Valley
