Edward Arthur Brouillet (Woodeye)

NAUGATUCK — Edward Arthur Brouillet (Woodeye) passed into eternal rest on Sept. 13, 2018 at West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was born in Greenwich on Nov. 4, 1933, son of the late Edward and Margaret (Bringe) Brouillet.

Ed was a self-employed carpet technician (the best there was) and a proud veteran of the Unites States Army. His passion was antique vehicles and he belonged to the local auto clubs where he shared the camaraderie of friends with like interests.

Always quick with a joke and ready to help when asked, “I have never known a stranger, just a friend I never met.”

Edward was a resident of Naugatuck for 12 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sally (Inciardi) Brouillet; his son, Frank Arthur Brouillet and his wife, Nadia, of Detroit, Mich.; three grandchildren, Alec, Taylor and Logan; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Brouillet of Shelton; his sisters-in-law, Annette Barton and her husband, Roger, of Oakville, Elizabeth Kasuba and Alan Weiner of Milford, Margaret Brouillet of Stratford; a brother-in-law, Joseph Inciardi and his wife, Laura of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Edward; and brother, Raymond.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. All are welcome, and burial will be private. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North

Main St., Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
