JASPER, Ala. — Dorothy M. “Dot” Kulhavik, a longtime resident of Prospect, Conn., passed away on Jan. 31, 2015 at her residence in Alabama. She loved reading, laughing, and spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly.

Mrs. Kulhavik was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Kulhavik; her parents, Leo and Ida (Gale) Caffrey; and her brothers, Leo and Raymond Caffrey.

Dorothy leaves behind her two children, Barbara McNeal of Jasper, Ala., and Joseph L. Kulhavik and his wife Mary of Waterbury; her four grandchildren, Jennifer Borden and her husband Robert, Wesley McNeal and his wife Mary, Wayne Zambiella, Kyra Zambiella; three great grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
