NAUGATUCK — Desiree D. Paiva, 32, of Naugatuck, died peacefully Friday, March 13, 2015.
Desiree was born Feb. 3, 1983 in Riverside, Calif., a daughter of Dorothy L. (Hay) Paiva and the late Alfred R. Paiva, Jr. Desiree loved her family with a passion and was an excellent mother to her son Jason. She had an enthusiastic love of life and loved cooking, watching the Food Network, music, dancing and off-roading. She spent time living in Hawaii, where she embraced the culture and loved to surf. Desiree loved animals and working as a veterinary technician, and she was a proud foster mom for an animal rescue group.
In addition to her mother Dorothy Paiva, Desiree is survived by her son, Jason Anthony Paiva-Fraticelli, her siblings, Dannielle, Clarissa, Dana, Scott, Shannon and Sherry, her fiancé Megan Smith and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave.
