WATERBURY — Mrs. Denise (Sarasin) Daniels, 50, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her residence. She was the wife of Thomas F. Daniels.
Denise was born in Waterbury on Sept. 10, 1964, daughter of the late Warren and Shirley (Leisring) Sarasin. She attended Barnard Grammar School, Westside Middle School and Kennedy High School. She was currently employed as a CNA for New England Health Care of Waterbury for the past eight years. She previously worked for Wolcott View Manor in their day care program where she became certified as a CNA. She was excellent at what she did and was very dedicated to her work. She enjoyed going for long rides and loved going to Lake George. She had a special gift of taking care of her patients and loved spending time with children. She will be truly missed by her patients especially Tom Welton, who she took care of for eight years and became special friends.
Besides her husband of eight years, she leaves a son, Dennis Lawson and his wife, Rebecca, of Waterbury; a daughter, Deanna Lawson of Wolcott; four stepdaughters, Lisa Halstead and her husband, Scott, of Oxford, Patricia Daniels, Sharon Daniels and Patrick Dennis all of Bristol, Laura Brawner and her husband, Jacob, of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Ronald Sarasin and his wife, Pamela, of Wolcott, two sisters, Elaine M. Gabani and her husband, James, of Naugatuck and Bette Jane Bisaillon and her husband, Leo, of Waterbury; six step-grandchildren, Samantha, Sophia, Emily, Natale, Jaxson and Justin, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held July 16 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial was private and at the convenience of the family.
