TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. — Claire M. (Atkins) Pelgro of Tarpon Springs, formerly of Naugatuck, Conn. died Sept. 25, 2014.
Wife of the late Samuel E. Pelgro, formerly of Naugatuck, Conn. Beloved mother of Michael J. Pelgro and his wife, Elizabeth M. Pelgro, of Needham, Mass. Sister of the late Helen Burrill and her husband, William, formerly of Braintree, Mass, the late Mary Kavigian and her husband, Charles, formerly of Lexington, Mass., the late Dorothy Siker and her husband, Ted, formerly of Wayne, N.J. and the late Henry Atkins and his wife, Mary,formerly of Chelsea, Mass. Grandmother of Mike, Anthony, Joey and Christina Pelgro and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, Tarpon Springs. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck, Conn., on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
