MADISON, Maine — Bettiedean Beatrice (Michaels) (Blasl) Stone, 60, of Madison, Maine passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of the late David Stone. Bettiedean was born on Dec. 27, 1955 in Michigan, daughter of the late Arthur James Michaels, Sr. and Shirley Irene (Mills) (Michaels) Salinardi.
Bettiedean was a devout Christian who rarely missed a Sunday Mass, even during her illness. She enjoyed singing karaoke and playing guitar, and fancied making jewelry. Bettiedean was passionate about gardening and tending to her morning glories. Her strong will was admired by many friends and family, she had an open heart and her family and kitties were her world.
She is the beloved mother of Jerry Blasl and his wife, Christina, of Waterbury, and Clifton Blasl and his wife, Alissa, of Naugatuck; loving grandmother of Jerry Blasl, Jr., Zachary Blasl, Jaden Blasl and Briona Blasl. Bettiedean is also survived by her siblings, Arthur James Michaels, Jr. of Maine, Gary Eugene Michaels of Connecticut, Randy Michaels of Connecticut, Timothy Michaels of Connecticut, Steven Michaels of Massachusetts, Larry Michaels of Connecticut, Cathie Michaels of Connecticut, Marria Hoffman of Maine and Trudie Gendron of Connecticut; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Andrew Michaels and Charles Miller; and her stepfather, Pasquale “Patsy” Salinardi.
Friends are invited to join Bettiedean’s family for a Memorial Service on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., Naugatuck, CT 06770. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
