Anne Uhelsky Kasinskas

BETHANY — Anne Uhelsky Kasinskas, 88, of Bethany, the beloved wife of 62 years to Edward John Kasinskas, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Seymour on March 17, 1929, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Palinsky Uhelsky. She is the last of their 11 children.

Anne was a devout communicant of Holy Rosary Church and St. Anthony Church of Ansonia. She retired from the Peter-Paul Cadbury Company of Naugatuck after 26 years. She was an avid homemaker and New York Yankee fan. Anne enjoyed bird watching, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles as well as playing bingo and knitting. Anne especially loved babysitting for her cherished grandchildren. She was a member of the Peter-Paul Cadbury Quarter Century Club and a member of Seymour Seniors Club. Anne held the high single in The Kerite Bowling League. She will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.

Anne’s family wishes to thank Vitas Healthcare of Middlebury (Team 263), for their compassionate care of Anne while she was under their care.

In addition to her beloved husband, Edward, her loving family includes three caring sons, Michael J. Kasinskas of Bethany, Edward J. Kasinskas, Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Bethel, Clement G. Kasinskas and his wife, Anne, of Meriden; four cherished grandchildren, Jacqueline Kasinskas, Jennifer Kasinskas, Alexander Kasinskas and Christopher Kasinskas, and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers, John Uhelsky, George Uhelsky, Michael Uhelsky, Andrew Uhelsky, Stephen Uhelsky and Joseph Uhelsky; four sisters, Mary Satkowski, Elizabeth Mitsakos, Helen Uhelsky and Susie Sarella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at 10 a.m. directly at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Michael Cemetery, Derby. Friends and relatives may call at The Miller-Ward Funeral, 260 Bank St. (Route 67 across from Klarides Village), Seymour on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 from 4 until 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, through the funeral home.
