WATERBURY — Anna W. Sembersky, 95, widow of Walter Sembersky, passed away peacefully at Regal Health Care in Waterbury on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2016.

Mrs. Sembersky was born in Torrington on Nov. 6, 1921. A longtime resident of Waterbury, she retired from Anchor Fasteners in Waterbury after many years of service. She was a former member of St. Stanislaus Ladies Guild and Rosary Society. Anna enjoyed playing bingo and setback, and was famous for baking her cherry and lemon meringue pies and her potato salad. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson and great grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her son, Robert F. Sembersky and his wife, Carol, of Waterbury; her beloved grandson Bryan Sembersky and his wife Lauren; and her great grandchildren, Cora and Willow. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janet M. Sembersky, who she missed dearly and her beloved dog, Mitzi.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Regal Health Care for the kind and compassionate care given to Anna during her illness.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to Blessed Sacrament Church, 182 Robbins St., Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Platt Road, Watertown. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
