Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2013 at Naugatuck and Woodland high schools will be held Monday, June 24 — the last day of school for Naugatuck and Region 16 school districts.
Naugatuck High’s graduation will be held at 8 p.m. at the Palace Theater in Waterbury. The ceremony was moved to the theater this year due to the ongoing renovation project at the high school.
Woodland’s graduation will be held at 6 p.m. at the high school in Beacon Falls.
In March, the last day of school for Region 16 was scheduled for Friday, June 21 after the Region 16 Board of Education decided to take away April 19 from vacation to make up for snow days. School officials subsequently made April 19 a vacation day again in anticipation of significant absences of students and teachers pushing the last day of school to June 24.
