Pancake breakfast
PROSPECT — VFW Post 8075 is holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Sunday with the occasion serving a “short stack for a tall cause.”
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the VFW Post 8075 building at 218 Cheshire Road and all the proceeds will benefit Kellys Kids Inc, whose barn full of animals recently burned down.
Tickets are $8 for children and $10 for adults.

NAUGATUCK — The Whittemore Library will be showcasing artwork from a New Milford resident for the month of March.
Kathy L’Hommedieu, who has been painting for 13 years, will have her artwork on display at the library’s Whittemore Gallery Wall. L’Hommedieu draws her inspiration from the natural world and her oneness with the outdoors, according a library press release.
People can view the artwork during regular library hours, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. For information, people can call 203-729-4591.
