Disc golf

course nearly

finished

NAUGATUCK — The Parks and Recreation Department is finishing up the borough’s disc golf course. The only remaining work is to implement scorecards and map. The course is set to open in April.

The course is rated as a beginner to intermediate course. It is located behind the Naugatuck Dog Park on Andrew Mountain Road, heading towards the community garden, heading out into the big open field and woods surround it.

Workers were expected to soon put up markers on the course.

TIF hearing set

NAUGATUCK —The Board of Mayor and Burgesses will hold a TIF, or Tax Increment Financing, master plan public hearing on Thursday, March 23 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

The hearing will be immediately followed by a borough board special meeting. The meeting will be hybrid where people can attend virtually through Zoom, through the website, https://bit.ly/42kdTgP

The TIF district is in regards with the new upcoming downtown developments.

Pickle ball courts

NAUGATUCK — Pickleball courts at the Rec Center are available on Wednesdays from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at 607 Rubber Ave. There is no fee to play but each participant must complete a waiver. People can call the office to confirm availability at 203-720-7043
