2 legislators plan

town hall meeting

PROSPECT — State Sen. Rob Sampson, R-16th District, and Deputy House Republican Leader Lezlye Zupkus, R-89th District, will host a town hall meeting in Prospect on March 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Town hall is at 36 Center St. Legislators will discuss the 2023 legislative session and take questions from the audience members.

Voting under way

for local awards

NAUGATUCK — The Ion Bank Foundation has announced that voting has begun for its 14th annual Community Awards Program.

The program takes place from the beginning of February through March 17 and encourages ION Bank customers to vote for a local charity of their choice to receive grant money from the foundation.

The Ion Bank Foundation annually designates funds for this program which allows it to make a significant impact for the communities it serves.

208 local organizations received funds totaling $73,050 last year. For this year’s program, the foundation will award up to $100,000.
