SEYMOUR — Naugatuck Valley Health District is offering free Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to eligible individuals

The health district, which serves Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck, Seymour and Shelton, is holding immunization clinics at the Seymour Community Center, 20 Pine St. The clinics, which are by appointment only, are on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Eligible individuals must register and complete all online registration forms through the Vaccine Administration Management System initiated by their employer. Walk-ins and non-eligible individuals will be turned away.

Under the state’s Phase 1a vaccination plan, vaccines are being administered to direct care providers and other critical workers in health care settings, residents and staff of long-term care facilities, and first responders at risk of exposure. Health officials were awaiting more information on Phase 1b of the state’s vaccination plan.
