A 45-year-old Naugatuck man was the victim of an assault outside of Rubber Avenue bar over the weekend.
At about 12:20 a.m. on March 20, police received a call that a man had been assaulted outside of the Construction Café. Police said the man, who was not identified, was stabbed in the side of the head with a knife.
The victim was taken to Waterbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The suspect was described as a black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin build who was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.
