Naugatuck police investigating burglary at restaurant


NAUGATUCK — Police are investigating a “smash-and-grab” burglary at the Peking Tokyo restaurant on Rubber Avenue.

Police said the suspect or suspects damaged the front door to break in to the restaurant at 727 Rubber Ave. Police said the burglary occurred during the overnight hours into Thursday, and the suspect or suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
