Naugatuck police announce sobriety checkpoint

NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint from 7 p.m. Thursday to 3 a.m. Friday on the Salem Bridge (Route 63) between South Main and Cherry streets.

Anyone operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.8 or higher is considered intoxicated and can be charged with DUI in Connecticut, according to state law.
