NAUGATUCK — William F. Ford Jr., 74, died peacefully on July 29, 2024, at Beacon Brook Health Center.
Billy was born Aug. 31, 1949 in Waterbury, a son of the late William F. Ford Sr. and Mary (Malone) Ford; he was raised in Naugatuck and graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1967. Billy retired after working many years as a long distance truck driver.
Billy loved his home on Bantam Lake that he shared with his former wife Carol. It was the place for many picnics and family get-togethers. Billy always enjoyed purchasing beautiful Christmas trees every year for his parents’ home on Fairview Avenue.
Billy is survived by his sisters, Joann Ryan (Raymond), Eileen Zeidler (Gary), Mary Jokubaitis (Bob), Christina DaSilva (Rubens), Carol Ford, Kathleen Rau (Henry); and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by his sister, Naugatuck Police Officer Nancy Ford Nichols.
All services were to be private. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
