WATERBURY — A 24-year-old Naugatuck man pleaded guilty to a child pornography possession charge Friday in Waterbury Superior Court.

Daniel Bolduc, of 94 Summerfield St., Naugatuck, will serve two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to second-degree possession of child pornography. The sentence reflects the mandatory-minimum term for the crime.

Bolduc’s arrest in March was the result of work by Det. Ronald Blanchard, who used a computer program to identify other computers using a peer-to-peer file-sharing program to download child porn.

Police seized Bolduc’s computers as a result of that investigation, later discovering it contained child porn videos, including 8- to 12-year-old children engaged in sexual activity with other children and adults.

A judge also granted a request from Senior State’s Attorney Terence Mariani that three computers seized in the investigation, including a laptop, be forfeited to the Naugatuck Police Department.
