NAUGATUCK — In celebration of Earth Day, the borough is running its 15th annual Community Clean-Up throughout April.

Over the past 14 years, residents, students, civic organizations and businesses have come together in April to clean litter on roadsides and parks around the borough. In 2013, over 450 people collected approximately 170 bags of trash, according to a news release issued by the public works department.

The borough will provide trash bags and gloves for anyone interested in participating this month. A list of sites that need cleaning is also available or groups can choose a location.

Naugatuck residents can sign up for the community clean-up at the public works office, 246 Rubber Ave., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., via email at Publicworks@naugatuck-ct.gov or by calling (203) 720-7071.
