NAUGATUCK — The artwork of Jenny Lynn Plungis will be featured at the Whittemore Library throughout this month.

Plungis, a local treasure hunter and antiques dealer, is the owner of Treasures and Trash and the Jenny Lynn Shop in Morris.

Plungis attended Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury where she was encouraged to explore all media by her art teacher, and she continued her education at Northwestern Connecticut Community College where she was given free reign over the pottery studio, according to a release issued by the library.

This month’s exhibit features both acrylic and oil landscapes.

Plungis strives to make the most of everything she does and she lives an exceedingly creative life, the release stated. In her opinion, “painting is the most time-honored and revered art form.”

The exhibit is on display on the Whittemore Gallery Wall and can be viewed during regular library hours. The library is located at 243 Church St. For more information, call (203) 729-4591.
