Men attempt to break into market

BEACON FALLS — Two men attempted to break into Beacon Falls market early this month, police said.

Police responded to an alarm at the market on South Main Street at about 7:20 a.m. Dec. 1, police reported. Police said two men tried to force the front door open with a pry bar but couldn’t do it. The men fled in an older model green Honda Civic, according to police.

Police said the men are also suspects in the burglary of a Patco gas station in Plymouth during which a cash register was stolen. Plymouth police got a license plate number from the car, police said.

The case is active, and police in Beacon Falls and Plymouth are working together on the investigation.
