Masked assailants make off with car, cash

NAUGATUCK – Masked robbers attacked two victims early Wednesday morning, making off with a car, cash, and cell phones.

Police reported that the victims were parked a 2007 grey Acura in the driveway of 17 Tracyann Court around 2:30 a.m. when they were approached by three black males dressed in black with bandanas over their faces.

One of the robbers showed a silver handgun to the victims and struck one victim in the head after a brief struggle, police reported. The victim was uninjured.

Two of the suspects stole the Acura and drove off while the third fled on foot, according to police.

A state police K-9 responded to the scene but did not discover any leads. No further physical description of the suspects was available and the amount of cash stolen has not been disclosed.
