PROSPECT — The Prospect Public Library will exhibit the paintings of area resident Anita Gregorski during the month of September.

Gregorski, a resident of Middlebury, paints in oil and acrylics, but loves painting in watercolor. Her works capture the colors and atmosphere of familiar scenes so common in New England.

“The satisfaction and joy I receive from creating a painting is a gift I will always appreciate,” Gregorski said in a press release. “I like to find that bit of nostalgia, record that weathered look or catch the light on fresh fallen snow.”

Gregorski is a signature member of Northeast Watercolor Society, Connecticut Watercolor Society, Academic Artists and Kent Art Association. She is active in local art leagues and was on the Governing Board of the Waterbury Arts Collaborate.

The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular library hours, except when meetings are being held in the community room. The library is located at 17 Center St. For more information, call the library at (203) 758-3001.
