Letter: Washington should get out of health care

To the editor,

Considering their proven lack of accountability, administrative inefficiency and over regulation, why doesn’t Washington simply get completely out of health care involvement?

A few decades ago we had no such governmental intervention and we did fine. No one died in the street. The Democrats then were those who championed the working man and the Republicans tried to help businesses develop. Today, the Democrats seem to be lost in the wilderness and bluntly propose to support everyone for their lifetime. If you never learned a marketable skill and then couldn’t find a job the government will support you.

This whole federal effort is nothing more than another attempt to bring us a step closer to being a European type Socialist/welfare state. We must reject it all right now.
