To the editor,

The visit by Blizzard Chris certainly reminded Connecticut residents of the unpredictable New England weather and of the importance of our need to be prepared.

On (last) Thursday morning I headed off to work at 5:30 a.m. with the snow already beginning to come down with a vengeance. I arrived safely to work by 6 a.m. and remained there until 5 p.m. As I walked to the parking lot, I found my car buried under several feet of snow. After digging out I began my travel back home.

Driving through the streets of Derby and Ansonia it was once again evident how fortunate we are to live in Beacon Falls. As I drove up Blackberry Hill the roads were well plowed and treated. I want to recognize and thank the men working in public works for their hard work and steadfast effort in plowing our town roads and keeping residents safe.
