To the editor,
We continue to hear folks commenting on the rough treatment of combat prisoners at Gitmo. We are called to task worldwide for what is called torture during interrogations. But no mention is made that there are never any fatalities involved.
On the other hand, when these Muslim fanatics kidnap or capture someone merely disagreeing with them they are beheaded or subject to mass executions.
Is there is something out of balance here?
To me this situation is quite similar to the feelings about Hitler in the 1930s that led to WWII. At that time, even Great Britain was almost being led to accept him by their own leadership, Neville Chamberlain. Doesn’t history ever tell us anything?
