On Nov. 4 the voters of Cheshire, Prospect, and Bethany (89th District) will be voting for a state representative to speak for them in Hartford for the next two years.
I am encouraging the re-election of Lezlye Zupkus because of her record and energy for the position. She has held town meetings in all three towns asking for voter input. These were well attended. She responds immediately to inquiries. She voted on legislation 99 percent of the time (voting 307 times out of 309 votes). She serves on the public safety, commerce and human services committees.
Over the past two years, she has voted to keep the cost of living down as she realizes the struggles of making ends meet for seniors and young families.
