To the editor,

My daughter, Emily Pieretti, is a senior airman in the U.S. Air Force and is stationed overseas.  She has a daughter who will be turning 1 year old in October. She will be home for the baby’s first birthday and wanted to hire Farm on Wheels in Prospect to come to our house in Sandy Hook for her birthday. Emily emailed the Farm and told them she was overseas and in the military and couldn’t call them but wanted to reserve the date for the party.

Shay Cronin from the Farm responded back the same day by email confirming their availability and the details of what they provide for the event. Later in the email Shay wrote, “To thank you for your service we would love to extend this service at no cost to you.”

Needless to say, my daughter and I are thrilled and appreciative of this offer. It is so nice to see the respect that they have for the military. They certainly did not have to even discount the price, let alone offer it for free. At a time when our country seems divided, it is a very nice feeling to know that companies such as Farm on Wheels exist.
